A Name with a History

hanfried GmbH is an owner-managed personnel service provider with a history which clearly sets it apart from its competitors. As the roots of our company go back to a student tradition, our focus is on the satisfaction of our employees, which results from dealing fairly with one another, pay scales which are generally higher than in collective agreements, and other factors.

The Name

The name hanfried comes from Jena. The marketplace in that city is graced by a monument to the founder of the University of Jena, Johan Friedrich "The Magnanimous", Prince-Elector of Saxony, who is commonly known among the people as "Hanfried".

The origins of hanfried GmbH go back to a student fraternity from Jena. That was why the name hanfried was once chosen for the Wachverein hanfried at Mobil Oil and retained from the time when hanfried GmbH was established up to the present day.
